Mahalakshmi was widowed soon after the birth of her last child. This naturally caused her a lot of hardship in bringing up her children. Chinna and Ramudu were married in 1945, Chinna to Pasumarti Sita Ramachandra Rao (Raghava Rao) of Mallapuram and
Ramudu to Kandikuppa Srinivasa Rao of Srikakulam. Chinna was widowed after bearing two children and died young. Ramudu lives in Srikakulam. Suryam read up to matriculation and joined the Bengal Nagpur Railway in Raipur. His first marriage ended in divorce after which he married his niece, daughter of his sister Chinna. He had three daughters and died of cancer of the esophagus in 1986. Kamudu was engaged to be married to her cousin Kambabu, son of her eldest maternal uncle, Narasimha Rao (TNR) but Kambabu died soon afterwards. She married Kokkirigedda Sanyasi Rao, who was employed at Raigarh in the southeastern Railway. She was widowed in 1987, her husband having succumbed to cancer of the esophagus. She has two sons employed at Shakti and Raigarh in Madhya Pradesh, and lives with them. |
